Has anyone had this problem?

Hello wonderful people of Ribblr :sparkling_heart:

So I got this crochet kit for Christmas and it’s soon cute but they didn’t give me enough gray yarn for the penguin :sob:

Like they didn’t even give enough yarn for the body :sob::sob:

I ended halfway of rnd 20 here’s what the patterns says

Anyways has anybody had this problem?

I don’t use kits, so I wouldn’t know, But that’s so sad they didn’t give you enough yarn :sob::sob:.
Maybe reach out to the company?
(Also, it’s adorable :sob::pray:)

Oh No! It’s to cute to not have enough yarn. When i get kits from Joan’s i never have enough yarn. So i just have to find a color close enough to match it.

Maybe use a tighter tension
That uses up less yarn

Smaller hook size might also help

The bad thing is from what I can tell from the photo their tension already looks really tight :sweat::sweat_smile:

I’m at my grandparents rn so I only have the hooks I brought plus I used a 3.5mm and I feel like if I went smaller it wouldn’t be very fun

Yeah, your stitch’s already look pretty tight.

Maybe you could attach a different color of yarn when you get home and make it look like he has a little shirt or pants?

Did the kit not come with a hook? I’ve never encountered this problem before, but that’ because I typically find kits on amazon- cheaper, better value, and typically pretty good.
