I would say it should read (6sc, dec) x ? This repeated. Because there’s no stitch count for the previous round not sure how many times. Which is why i placed a ?
I would suggest messaging the designer. There is either an error or missing notes. If it means (6sc, dec) repeated around, that is using 8 stitches which would only get you to 32. You would have 4 extra stitches. It is possible they meant (4sc, dec)x6 but there is no way of knowing without asking them.
My guess is that its a typo and the designer isnt quite sure how the math works…if your previous round goes from 36 (a x6 increase) and you go to a 7 decrease, its not even and you have 2 leftover. I did a quick illustrative to help. Usually, the decreases are all even math counts. My guess is they meant 36 to 30
It means, crochet 6 sc, dec ( the 7-8th stitch) and repeat all around till the end. You’ll know your stitch count is correct if you end the round with a decrease.
Thanks for the explanation! The only thing is… my round doesn’t end with a decrease. When I follow “6sc, dec” around, I reach the end of the round in the middle of the sequence, not right after the decrease. So I’m not sure if I should adjust the count or if the pattern itself is written inconsistently.
Could you clarify what the final stitch of the round is supposed to be?
I think you’ll have to ask the designer. It’s unusual that there’s no stitch counts at the end of each row. The math doesn’t work out unless it’s meant to stop in the middle of the (6sc, dec) sequence. But who knows if that’s what they intended?
Inside the pattern itself, look to the very bottom. Click on the help icon, it should open up and then you should be able to click on contact designer.
Then after a couple of lag lag the box of an email should show up.
