So I have been looking around at the yarn options and im sadly disappointed in the stuff I can get in stores around my area as I live in a small town and the only store that sales craft stuff is Walmart and I few quilting shops that understandably want a pretty penny for their hand dyed small lot yarn.
Every time I’m in a bigger city it’s usually with people who are not interesting in going to a Michael’s or hobby lobby or anything close to that. So I’ve been buying online which I can’t touch or see textures well. I found a good brand for chenille and those bulky yarn but I’m looking for a nice worsted that doesn’t pill or fray and looks almost glossy or smooth or whatever in a finished product. I’ve tried Walmart brand mainstays and redheart and some random stuff from Amazon and I not impressed so far. Any suggestions would be great. Either a brand or a certain blend. Anything! Please and thank you in advance!
Yes to the dollar store and they had the permire or however it’s spelt and for a dollar it wasn’t bad but it was about on par with the mainstays and main was cheaper by volume. Joanns has been closed in my major area for a LONG time now. Thank you for all the input guys. I’ve got some ideas to run with and I think I’ll either have to make the 2 hours drive just for the heck of it and rummage a Michael’s or hobby lobby or something and spend a little bit camped out in the yarn section….. and just leave my cards at home with a minimal cash budget lol
