How can you prevent this tall bump in amigurumi. I’m making a head for a doll and I don’t like the tall bump that appears after the first round

Maybe use the method for plush yarn that’s like this, you do the total number of sc (stitch count) in rnd 2 at the start. So for example if the pattern was 6sc in MR (6) then 6inc (12) you start off doing 12 sc in MR then continue normally following the rest of the pattern

Try pulling hard on the tail from the magic ring, that’s what I do and it helps
