Help please!!! I messed up joining a scarf and this happened...

I was joining the beginning and end of my infinity vstitch scarf but it ended up messing up both my sides. I fixed one but don’t know how to fix the other one…and if I can’t fix it I can’t join it either… It is meant as a gift and I’m already a week late because of this :disappointed: Please help me and if you can leave some suggestions on how to join the two sides(if I can fix it of course lol) I’d be super grateful.

Maybe try weaving it under this loop and then through a few stitches to secure it?

Thank you sooo much!!! Can I also make new stitches that way??? Is that it’s missing 4 stitches that got undone… sorry I should have mentioned that in the post.

If you wanted to completely remake the missing chains, you would probably have to put a placeholder through that end cluster of V stitches (like a safety marker or piece of yarn), and pull out that yarn tail temporarily. Then you can weave the tail under that loop and re-crochet the chains you are missing, then finish by weaving the tail through the V cluster and under a loop (then through a few stitches to secure it).

Potentially, you could also just secure that end and make a few joins in the same area when attaching, to make up for the missing stitches.
