help with "loosely stuffing" a project

hey folks! quick question. im making a doll and need to “loosely stuff” the legs. only issue is that the legs are 9 and 8 stitches wide with a 3.5mm hook and worsted weight yarn. how should i go about stuffing the leg and loosely at that?? (a wire needs to be fed through the legs which is why it needs to be loose)

Use the back of your crochet hook (a non ergonomic one) to put the stuffing inside, that might work

unfortunately im not home and only have ergonomic ones. do you think it may still work?

The only thing is they just might not fit inside, if you can find one that fits the back of a pencil also works, or a paintbrush if you have that for some reason :joy:

Or a skinny makeup brush

since I’m at work, i only have the tools i brought. what about the actual hook end of the hook versus the handle?

I use the tip of my scissors to push stuffing in small pieces.

I just find it hooks the stuffing and then I can’t get the hook out…. But yours might work :woman_shrugging:

Oh lol, anything thin should work, maybe a pen?

If you have no options at all, maybe go outside and try finding a stick lol? if you have a pencil or phone charger maybe that will work.
