I am a bit of a newbie to crochet and I only know certain things but what I hate is that I’ve always wanted to do amigurumi but I can never get the magic rings right, please help if possible!

If you can’t make a magic ring, try using the chain 2 method instead!

It took me forever to learn the magic ring too! I kept wrapping the yarn around my fingers with the wrong end. It’s kind of hard to explain without visuals, but make sure you’re wrapping the yarn over (Not under) your hand while holding the end of the yarn, and not the side attached to the yarn ball.

THIS!! I never do magic ring or magic circle for amigurumi even if it asks for it, this works just fine and you can still close up the hole easily.

I like to keep my MR on the looser end so I am not fighting with the yarn. Good luck on your crochet journey!
