Hey everyone! So I recently asked Ribblr a few questions about streak gems and here is what I learned!

So within the 1st 100 days of your streak you get bonus gems for smaller streaks like 3 days is 1 gem. Then at 100 days you get the normal 100 gems. This happens only during the 1st 100 days and happens every time you start your streak over! So as is, there is no benefit to having a streak past 100 days. It is actually better to go through 100 days and skip a day to lose your streak and start over.

You do get 100 gems at 200 days, 300 days, etc but you miss out on those extra gems if you continue your streak! (I also want to note that the 365 day achievement is not tied to feeding ribbot, only being active in the community like liking a post)

My suggestion is that after 100 days, the higher streaks get awarded more gems! For example at 200 days you get 150 gems, 300 days you get 200 gems, so on and so forth. Also, those of us who have already surpassed these milestones should get some back pay for the gems we missed out on :smiling_face:

considering they changed the amount of gems needed by for purchasing, I would suggest that, the only time you hit gem spinning the wheel, they wouldn’t give you only 2 gems, like it happened to me last week (or 2 weeks ago K don’t remember)

I broke mine by accident and was down on myself. I wanted to get those big number streaks. Now, I know not to worry about it. :grin:

This would be a great incentive for continuing. I just hit 200 and seriously considered if it was worth continuing my streak. I am still continuing because I like streaks. I am doing a mile a day streak as well. It’s just fun, but the jewel incentive should match the streak appropriately.

I also realized that I thought I was active in the community and contributing and apparently I was responding in a lot of gc and such and it not counting towards my 100 consecutive days. There needs to be a counter for that as well if there are going to be separate streak counters. And the definition needs to be clarified in the badges.

I was just thinking about this earlier today. Thank you for stating it so clearly and plainly! Would be awesome for longer streaks to be encouraged by better rewards :light_bulb:
