Hook size?

This is very weird. What hook should i use?

I think it depends on what you plan to make, if it’s amigurumi I recommend finding a crochet hook that can hold the yarn, but still be small enough to give right stitches, or if you just want tight stitches. As for the exact hook size I’d recommend it depends on what weight the yarn is, do you still happen to have the yarn skein/label?

I have yarn just like that somewhere in my house. I remember trying it out with a 4.5mm hook and that worked out perfectly for me. You can try that out too if you’d like. <3

a good tip is to match the hook thickness to the yarn thickness iyk what I mean

When the label on the yarn says to use a large hook but the yarn is very small, I just think to myself which hook fits this yarn. I like to measure the hook like this


If your hook fits the yarn then it’s perfect. Sometimes I like to use a smaller hook size when I make plushies. The black yarn suggests 8mm but I used 6.5. Hope this helps!
