How do I add wire to my project?

So… I’m making a posable doll and was wondering, how do I do the wire? I hadn’t thought about it till now and I don’t know how to do it :sob:

Depends on the pattern and the instructions.

Some patterns require a preset wire structure, some you add over time.

I’m doing the arm and it said sew it to insert the wire and sew it to the body. I just don’t know if I need to do something to keep it in place.

Is there a picture?

No. It just says this:

Hmm.

Maybe add them as you see them on? Can I see what you have so far and which pattern it is?

Yes. Just give me a sec

So that’s the pattern, and here is what my arm looks like. I went ahead and put the wire through it, but I feel like I need to ā€œanchorā€ it.

I would crochet something to attach it so it stays in place a chain or even crocheting around the wire then place inside piece where your placing the wire and crochet to the piece inside if that makes sense. Wire will move if its just in say an arm or neck without it being secure.

Ooh! Okay, I see it now!

You need a longer piece of wire that’ll go through both arms and the width of the row you’re on.

Like this.

It helps anchor your pieces, and if you’re worried about being poked, fold over the ends of the wire and duct tape them.

So I actually ended up like looping it through and anchoring it and it works pretty well. Thanks for the help

I think you just stick it inside along with the stuffing and sew it in place?
