how do you reduce the amount of holes when you use acrylic yarn?

hola ribblr-ians! i come to you with a question :D

i love acrylic yarn, but if i use it for any project that isn’t mini, i end up with some holes that show the stuffing inside (especially if the project involves bobble stitches). i’ve tried increasing my tension and using a smaller hook, but both didn’t work. is there another way to get rid of the holes? thank you so much in advance <3

Try using a smaller hook and yarning under (that works for me at least)

If changing your tension and hook didn’t work, try just using less stuffing

yarning under? Huh, i’ve never done that! I just use a smaller hook. I’ll try that though!

Using the invisible decrease helps fill the hole a bit. Usually the back stitch isn’t used so it doesn’t create such a hole. An even smaller hook may help. I use a C hook with medium 4 yarn on all my Letodolls now. Less stuffing would help also.

How big of a hook are you using? I use a 3-3.25 mm hook for medium weight yarn
