How do you take measurements of your crochet work

Hello all,

I have this question spinning in my mind and get difficult to do.

How do you take the measurement of your amigurumi the tall and width? Really got difficulties on this and what the best way to do that.

Hi! I just use a measuring tape to measure my finished projects :blush:

I usually take a ruler and measure like in my photos. I hope it helps.



I measure in inches.

Yes sure it help really, thank you. I tried to use tape measure from the highest point on the head to the bottom of the leg. But feel it wrong way so that why asked this to understand more how others do it and get more ideas to keep improving ourselves.

Yeah! I have done it with a tape measure but find it easier with a ruler. I am happy I was able to give you an idea. :+1::relaxed::heart::coffee:

So I need to try using ruler instead of tape measurement, yes sure you did and the cup in photo looks cute :coffee: :blush:

I always use a tape measure, but a ruler is definitely a good option as well.

Thank you dear, tape measurement good for clothes or any flat items, but for amigurumis and round items need a special way to measure. :sparkling_heart:
