I would say about 30$ USD so that people will still buy, and you will still make a profit off of them

Wow, they are amazing :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes:

I think in all fairness to you and all the work you put into them at least $150 USD.

They are a ‘draw card’ to your stall. Hang them high so people can see them from a distance. You may not sell it immediately as the right customers can sometimes be tricky to find. Take the giant realistic turtle by @craftycellist who finally found a forever home.

Don’t underprice yourself, this is why we continue to have people tell us things like “that’s too expensive”. If we don’t respect our work our time and ourselves, we will never be able to receive fair pricing for our unique, handmade in the USA, one-of-a-kind, artisan products. We need to educate the public.

If people are willing to pay a small fortune on a Labubu that is mass produced, in a factory, in China, using slave labour, then your handmade in the USA, unique, rare, pieces of art work are worth more. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Idk if I’m crazy or maybe I unintentionally overprice things but genuinely based off of how long this would take, how much sewing is involved, the cost of yarn… I would personally go minimum $100. You deserve it. That’s such a drastic amount of work for people to say $20-40. This is my personal opinion but that just seems insulting to me :sob:

I would say at least $50. Personally I would charge more for this because of the detail, but it depends on time and materials used. AGAIN THOUGH this is sosoooo detailed and people sell simple amigurumi this size for quite a bit, so don’t be afraid to up the price! :face_savoring_food:

Expenses:

  • Pattern
  • Yarn
  • Safety Eyes
  • Stuffing
  • TOTAL :heavy_equals_sign:

Labour:

  • Hourly rate: $20 per hour
  • Hours worked : 8
  • Therefore $20 x 8 hours
  • TOTAL :heavy_equals_sign: $160

Profit:

Eg: 10%

Therefore:

Expenses + $160 + profit = sell price

You should definitely increase your prices. Prices need to reflect the unique, handmade, products we offer. We are not a charity shop. Those who put low prices on their products impact the entire industry and make it difficult for the rest of us to receive a fair and livable wage. Our products are handmade in (Canada, USA, Australia, etc), not mass produced in a factory in China using slave labour. Our products are artisan products and should be priced accordingly. Please, let’s help each other. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The only time a product should be sold more cheaply is if you’re a beginner crocheter still learning how to perfect this art form.

I think 65-85 is a good range. I try to pay myself 10$ per hour+material costs, but handmade art should probably be worth more then minamum wage. But on the other hand I’ve had people haggle me for prices, and I don’t like having to deal with it, so it’s really up to you, but yeah thats how I would price them!
