How to get chosen for bigger tests?

That’s really helpful!

I generally judge photo quality buy the latest 6 makes (and honestly for it’s mostly about proper lighting and decent clarity)

Yeah, honestly a couple of days before the due date is nice as a designer because you aren’t scrambling to make use of the feedback.

I saw your duck tester and it is absolutely adorable! So, quite obviously you are an amazing crocheter! So, what I would do it maybe try to have even better photo quality and in an area that is suitable for the tester! Such as your duck tester next to a pond! I hope you use my tip and good luck getting chosen!! (Btw you did not sound whiney so don’t worry )

I just barely posted one and I’m not a big pattern writer (god I hope to be one day these desks jobs are buns and I am NOT a corporate girly someone save me) anyways I’m open to literally anyone, someone has to start somewhere and this is the safest place to test. If I ever see your name I’ll approve on the spot

ikr :frowning: usually for big tests when they have tester appreciations i would always see testers that are more known in ribblr or those with a whole lot of karma even tho (no offense) i dont think their crocheting standards fit these types of tests:(

guys what the heck is karma

when you test a pattern, the person you test for gifts it to you when you finish. you also get karma when you’re goven the pattern, it just shows how many tests you have done, so you get 1 karma per tested pattern

Hello!
Honestly here on Ribblr most of the time I just choose people randomly :joy: because some of the links don’t have the option of ā€œopen in a new tabā€ is a little difficult to check all the testers quickly, so I go in the testers application and randomly select the testers, I try to go by tiers, as 1-2 tester with more than 100 karma points, 1-2 testers with around 80-100 karma, 1-2 testers with around 50-80 karma, etc… I almost always select at least 1 tester with 0-10 karma to give chance to grow up their karma :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Interesting:joy: I get that you have hundreds of applications so honestly, that’s a pretty fair way to do it! Thank you for telling us!:yellow_heart:

The number one thing all big testers say they are looking for is clear, beautiful photos. The second one is social media presence so you can help with the promotion. It might not sound nice, but for some of us crochet is our only income and if we can’t promote our work, we just don’t get paid.

How can you see other people’s karma?

You can only see it if your assigning testers for a pattern
