How do y’all make tester calls that people apply for? I just made one for my Canadian Moose(the tester call is closed but if you think you can test for it then please dm me please) and I only got 3 testers 
. But then I see other tester calls with 15+ testers so I need your wisdom all. (I prob won’t see this until 7pm EST so)

well sometimes I get like 3 testers sometimes I get 8 testers, so..
maybe have good pictures with good lighting?

It honestly depends on what you’re putting a tester call up for, like somethings are more popular than other things. More people are more likely to apply if you have good quality pictures (uncluttered background + good lighting).

also, more people are likely to test if the item is small!
finally, if you’re more active on ribblr, you’re more likely to get more testers bc people know you!

I agree especially about the pictures. They don’t need to be Pinterest pretty at all, but I think it’s important that the testers know what they will be making. Seperate pictures of difficult or detailed parts, if there are any, help to decide if you feel able to make the project in question and something that gives you an idea of the size, like something in the picture to compare it to, help to decide about time and yarn.
Also I think I was worried about being able to finish everything in time when I saw your tester call. What was your due date? I can text you If my other projects go well and I have some spare time to test

Like other have said pictures are a big thing, Even just sitting it outside in the grass or beside a tree somewhere can make a picture look a lot nicer.
I may have time if you are ok with me making a slight modification? i hate sewing limbs on and like to crochet them on when making the body.

It’s not so much about making a tester call more appealing, it’s really more about making a pattern that is appealing. If your pattern is something people really like you will see it in the number of people who apply to test. For example from my experience here on Ribblr, there appears to be a lot of people who love dragons, therefore dragon tester calls may get a higher number of testers than other creatures/animals.
It may also depend on the level of skill required to make the pattern. If it is a more complex pattern that requires an intermediate level of crocheting, beginner makers won’t be able to apply as their skills won’t be sufficient to complete the test.
It also depends on how much time you allow for your test and whether a potential tester feels they can compete it in that amount of time.
Adding extra photos can also help testers decide whether to test.
These are just a few things to consider and keep in mind when putting out a tester call.
