I used to nanny for two girls. My husband took the girls and my kids to a “con” event and apparently she had been talking to someone online who had been telling her “I understand” “ you can trust me” “it’ll be our little secret” and ultimately “ let’s meet at the ‘con’” . My husband stayed close to the kids because cons are huge and he is protective which I love about him. The girl kept getting texts like “ I keep trying to get close to you but there is always a big man close to you. I will wait til he isn’t there so we can talk.” She kept trying to make up excuses to leave and he kept saying they can go as a group so he can keep an eye on everyone. Eventually we found out about the conversations and the mom reported them and they were able to trace them (thanks to father’s particular job) and apparently my husband’s diligence saved that girl from a potential abduction. Please heed the words of the OP. Please please please.
