I may have been working on a pancake moth for my shop, and i was wondering if the stitch where the sl st ch1 is/ sc counts still as the original count as the rest of the round… 
well anyway. Im totally not making a pancake moth…

i don’t think slst ch 1 counts as a stitch for the rounds unless you specify

Yeah, it’s personal preference. which is why it’s noted in patterns that use it whether or not it counts as a stitch

Most (90% at least) wouldn’t count it as a stitch.
Unless you want to, then you need to specify in the pattern.

Typically, it doesn’t count as a stitch- but patterns always (at least in my experience) specify whether or not it counts. I’ve never really encountered a pattern where they counted, but I would specify nonetheless.
