You only pay a small fee when you sell a pattern

Unlike Etsy who charges you to list whether it sells or not

Check out the help center here, it will give general information on shops

Does it count as selling if it is free

No, the small fee depends on the price of the pattern since a small portion goes to Ribblr, so if a pattern is $1 you won’t get the full dollar this is automatic. Since a pattern is free there’s no fee sent to Ribblr when a user gets the pattern

Here’s a screenshot from the help center using the keyword Fee and clicking the first question

Hey @Iloveanimals123 make sure you mark a reply as ‘solved’ so others can easily find the information in the future

As others mentioned, we don’t charge a fee to list patterns. Although there is a cost to us to provide our software and platform for free, this is one of the most important things to us. Our mission is to empower crafters, and therefore we think it’s important to be able to list things easily and not behind a paywall.

Hope this helps! Can’t wait to see your designs!

You do not have to pay.

If it’s free you are not selling it

However if someone sells what they make on Ribblr from your pattern, Ribblr pays you a small royalty

Search the help center on makes, it will give you more information (click on the words help center in this sentence, it’s a link)
