Hi! I need help. I need to scan my ID card for stripe to receive payments. And I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little nervous about it. I have to show all my details? My ID number and pesel? Anyone did that? Is it safe?

i went as far as setting up an account but after reading about the fees and other details i also felt odd in adding my bank info and ended up deleting that account. No one here so far has shared info about selling. Most people I’ve spoken to sell elsewhere. Sorry this wasn’t help but you aren’t alone.

Well I was using Stripe in 2023 but I don’t remember scanning my ID. Many people sell patterns here and you need stripe to that so that’s why I’m asking… it must be safe, right?

I would double check their sharing policies and who or where they show that info. If you feel weird about it I would avoid it.

I signed up years ago so I don’t remember what all I had to do. I have heard that it is very safe. As far as I know, they just need my info in order to put money in my account. It works very well for me.

I would agree. They’ve worked well for me. I also use Flickr which also uses Stripe.
Stripe does not ask for any different information that PayPal, Venmo or any of the other services also ask for.
They want you to prove who you are and want a working account they can withdraw payments from or deposit funds to.

i did that, im 13 so i put in my moms info… yo be changed later, but i think its safe

this is normal (and safe!) stripe is used very widely and is trusted. obviously if it makes you uncomfy then dont use it! ive made several different stripe payment across different websites with absolutely no issues <3
