I need some advice

Hi everyone, I have a YouTube channel where I post lots of crochet related content. I’ve recently got lots more viewers which I’m so grateful for, a lot of who say are inspired by my content which I’m so happy about. However there’s a certain viewer who started using the same format as me which I thought was really sweet at first as they told me how much my channel helped them. But they’ve now changed their logo and channel banner to look the same as mine. When they asked me for advice for their business I told them that branding is important and I would appreciate if they changed their logo and channel banner to be at least little different. When I said this they instantly deleted their comment. They also replied to comments on my video before i did and some people thought it was me.

These are the two channels for comparison, I’ve blurred out the user name for privacy reasons. It’s been over a week and they’ve still not changed it and I don’t know whether to message them or not. Please tell me if you think that they’re similar or I’m just overthinking it.

Oh! That looks nearly identical! The only thing that makes it different is the way you and her/him draws! I would definitely text them/or idk and then, if they won’t take it then block them or smt like that

I would definitely message them. While it’s ok to take inspiration, they basically copied your banner and logo completely. That’s not alright.

As an artist myself that’s just complete copying you should DEFINITELY message them about what they may have “accidentally” done and explain what is wrong with that :sweat:, they for 1 used the same color schemes and some of the graphics are EXACTLY the same as well as formatt this is not okay and you should definitely contact them :slightly_frowning_face:!

That’s almost exactly identical, no way it was done on accident. They intentionally tried to make their logo and banner similar to yours. I would definitely send them a message to ask them to take it down. I’m so sorry this happened. I hope they take it down without a fuss <3.
