Many patterns released on Ribblr are tested using our tools, but not all patterns are tested on Ribblr or at all.

Currently each pattern has a Reviews and makes section. Makes completed by testers through Ribblr can display a Tested badge.

Makers (and testers) are also invited to say whether the pattern was easy to follow and whether they recommend it. This is completely anonymous. And those results are displayed on the pattern page.

We are being careful around things like ā€˜verifiedā€™ - those can be tricky in an open marketplace so for the time being we donā€™t plan to integrate it.

We like the suggestion of notifying testers when the final pattern is published, giving them an opportunity to review the updated version and revise their recommendation or journal!

Weā€™re following all the feedback here - we are planning on adding more updates to testing later this year and this should hopefully make buyer trust much clearer :raising_hands:

btw, if a purchased pattern is incomplete or significantly different from what was advertised, please report it so our team can investigate and help. That isnā€™t acceptable.

Thanks for taking the time to answer in detailā€‹:purple_heart: I understand that not every idea can be implemented 1:1 and the discussion has already shown some difficulties with this one. If it has inspired a possible improvement to get even more value for the community from the journals that would be greatā€‹:hugs:

I donā€™t design. I just like to test and participate in ideas. Iā€™ve had two test patterns that parts of didnā€™t make sense at all. Iā€™ve been crocheting since 7. Iā€™m 71 now. I couldnā€™t get a picture of what the designer was going for. I reached out several times asking for clarification. Nothing!! So I just did what I thought was right for my years of experience and it worked quite well.
