so on the left is my first ever make with blanket yarn, made on February 18th, 2024. on the right is the same pattern by @onecentcrochet , with the same 5mm hook and the same brand of yarn (bernat baby blanket) on August 4th, 2024. im just really impressed with how different they look as i hadn’t really noticed much progress in my crocheting, but i think I’ve improved a lot more than i think. like the original has several spots where stuffing is visible and the neck is not stuffed enough at the base, plus i only knew how to crochet in BLO thinking it was right. my original dino is named Clyde, as a reference to the infamous duo Bonnie and Clyde, but he never had a partner. I’ve decided the new dino will be Bonnie, finally giving my original plushy his partner in crime

my tension was insanely loose when i first started, and now it’s really tight lol. that’s also why there’s a couple holes in the first one
