UNLESS you do micro-crochet - there’s no way to hold on to those tiny little stitches without nails.
I’m currently sculpting some tank decor for the various leopard geckos in my care so I had to cut my nails short. No micro-crochet for me until they grow back in lol

I always have long nails and tbh I find it easier to crochet with them xD But maybe my stitches are too tight? I suppose it’s personal preference LOL
i keep my nails like super super short, but im always jealout of people who can keep theirs long, also they look so pretty btw

Even wearing something more basic like nail wraps, things like my hair will still get caught at the bottom part of the sticker, near the cuticle.

Finished my sculpting projects, so I did up my Halloween nails!
As an aside, I find that coffin (pictured) or rounded square tips are easier to deal with in regard to crocheting.
A top coat will fix that issue btw
