Ok, so does anyone else see some of these patterns and think, *this seems too good to be free, it looks like it took a lot of work, this person deserves a moneys!!! * or is that just me? Another question, how does testing work? Like, do I get the instructions when I’m chosen, or what? I really don’t get it!
when you apply for testing, whenyou get chosen, a testing tab will show up in your patterns and you will get a dm from the pattern writer! then you finish the test by the duedate and give them feedback. hope this helps! <3
Tysm!!!
ofc!
Yes I do but it technically is the pattern designer’s choice if they want to make the pattern free or not. (Idk if this is still going to help) but to get to your testing lab first open “my stuff” at the top there should be a button that says “testing” click that go access all of the patterns that you’re testing!
my way of pricing patterns is how long i worked on it. so if it took me 2 hours to make something, i make it $2. This way my patterns are cheaper than others but I still get some money. My goal is to make my patterns accessible. so if i see someone say they cant buy patterns or they dont have money but they would love to support me, i gift it to them.
I agree with the top statement! , but a big reason people do that is to grow their shop and following! (I will be moving my frog pattern to Etsy in a few days (probably), because I want to make some pocket money off something I spent HOURS on ! (For more info look in any of the chats) and I agree that lots of the patterns on here are really good!
That’s a good explanation! I’m too young to own / set up a Skype account, but this will help me in the future! Ty
Your first one is a good point
