Just curious

Does anyone else Cricut? I was just wondering

Never tried it. But some crocheters use it for cutting felt faces for their amigurumi.

I wish.
Then I could make my own labels

What’s cricut?

It’s a device for cutting. A cutting machine:woman_facepalming:t3:, I don’t know why I said it differently, hahaha. Anyways, it can cut sticker or heat transfer vinyls, fabric, paper, and lots of other stuff.

Can look like this. There are different versions.

I use mine to make iron on heat transfers for t-shirts mostly. I did socks for Christmas. I’ve done onesies for babies. Some designs on glass cups and jewelry dishes. Birthday cards and other things.

Oohh that’s really cool, I’ve seen something similarly (well it just looks similar) and you could make straight cuts with it

This one also for just straight cuts or also shapes? It seems cool

Any kind of cuts you want, haha

There’s another, I think it’s called, silhouette

It can do pretty intricate shapes. The original was for paper crafts - scrapbooking or card making, etc. Now they’ve expanded into vinyl, cake toppers (fondant, I believe), ceramic & glass printing, etc…

The Silhouette is another brand cutter.

I use a silhouette, great fun for cards, shirts, stickers, stencils. I never thought to use it to make felt faces I’ve got to try that!

Me either, hahaha. But then again, until getting on ribblr, I don’t know that I noticed any felt facial pieces on crochet items before. Honestly, I know I might get some hate and to each their own, but I almost feel like it’s cheating.:woman_shrugging:t3: Like, crochet should be crochet.

I’ve never done it before, and only recently picked up some plastic eyes - that I still haven’t tried. I’ve always stitched on the faces, but in some cases I think the mixed medium provides a better result like for anime characters that can have really crazy eyes or features.

Yes, that is true. I have seen some cute felt eyes.
