Hi everyone! It’s been awhile. I still haven’t crocheted much, but I missed ribblr. I kinda want to do a mini Q and A so if you have questions about Japan , crafting, or my other hobbies, please let me know! I missed being a part of the ribblr community 🫶🏻
You’re in Japan? Ok, I gots questions.
- How long have you been there?
- What’s your face food?
3.;Fave area to visit? - Cool places?
- thrift stores?
Other questions:
- Do you do any other crafts?
- If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
- Fave YouTubers?
is sanrio popular there?
kinda like @cinnamoroll4life
have you been to any sanrio places like sanrio cafe or sanrio puroland
OMG stopppp I would love to travel to Japan!!! Is it expensive!?? How well do you need to know Japanese? What is your favorite part about it?
I’ve been in Japan since November! My favorite food is Japanese style curry ( we usually go to coco’s curry) the coolest places I’ve been are Shibuya crossing, Tokyo Disneyland/ Sea, Nara Deer park, and Universal Studios Japan! So I’ve only been to one thrift store so far and I prefer going there than going to one in the states! Everything is in good condition, and the store is tea clean! I think it is slightly more expensive than American thrift stores, but it’s worth the additional price in my opinion.
I really like to hand sew felt plushies, but I’m not the best at it yet , I like to embroider too and I’m learning how to do that now. But I really want to learn how to knit!
I’m not the biggest fan of flying but I really want to go to Korea, Italy, and Ireland
And for YouTube I like watching Korean Englishman, Janelle Eats, I like to watch a lot of crochet videos and food videos from around the world.
Sanrio is extremely popular in Japan! You can find Sanrio merchandise everywhere in Japan
Not yet, but I’ve been begging my parents to take me and I want to go to the eras tour in Tokyo
I don’t know too much about the finances to visit Japan, but I think flights are pretty expensive but during off seasons are a little cheaper, hotels can be pretty cheap sometimes, and a lot of Japanese people will try their best to speak English but it isn’t fluent and you have to speak really clearly( I really suggest using google translate and trying to learn a little bit of Japanese) I actually think my favorite part about Japan is the friends I’ve made! I’m studying Japanese so we can communicate more easily! Right now I use a lot of google translate
Sewing plushies is my other face thing to do besides crochet!
It’s a fun project, but they are a little wonky looking I think my stitches are pretty good but the felt isn’t lined up properly
are you pinning them and then turning inside out or just doing the ones that are visible stitches on front? i usually make lil plush monsters, but I have made a few that were small and had stitches on the outside. I just trimmed the felt afterwards to line up a bit better. if you dont have pins to line up fabric, I have see people use binder clips, or I bet you can use clothespins? you should totally share some of your work in the new space that opened up here. i think theres drawing on it right now, but its for all other crafts.
Mine have visible outside stitches! I would love to start posting more on the new space I didn’t even know it was added!
It just got added like a day or so ago
omg that is so cool:)
