Sorry there’s a lot of inaccurate information here, please only stick to official information shared by our team.

To clarify again -

  1. Your account is only penalised if a flag is approved. Even then, you need a number of accepted flags against multiple of your posts in order to lose your Regular statutes
  2. Whilst uncommon, your account may be put on hold temporarily whilst we check a flag. We appreciate this may be frustrating, especially if the flag is not approved, but it’s our way to keep everyone safe whilst our team investigates
  3. People who abuse the flag tool (meaning click it multiple times with no real reason) can get a penalty on their account. This doesn’t happen often but we have had to temporarily suspend users for this, including recently.
  4. You will lose your Regular status if you are silenced or suspended. You will be able to retain it after 6 months assuming you have no other penalties.

I lost my regular in November and I still haven’t gotten it back because someone flagged me

My regular status was taken away immediately the last time I got flagged. The flag was resolved, and I had to directly ask for it back a little later.

I know for a fact that I am not the only person this has happened to; even if it is as you claim and it’s not supposed to be taken away immediately.
@LittleCreatures for example, was also flagged unfairly and lost their regular status, despite the fact the flag was resolved; and she still hasn’t gotten it back.

We won’t discuss individual accounts in public however I can assure you this isn’t the case - you won’t lose you regular account due to a single flag being accepted. You can lose it for a variety of other things, though, which is often the case. You are invited to message our team if you are unsure, however for the most accurate information please see our message above.

I agree :sweat_smile:, the general chat is, to me at least an unsafe place, people are (from what I can see the few times I looked at it to put a link to a post) mostly just swearing (with symbols and things so ribblr won’t pick it up) and talking about weird things! (I did remove myself from it a long time ago though)
