Loneliness 😶

Does anyone here feels lonely. I genuinely don’t know how to make friends! I’m 21 I’m disabled and I think I’m on the autistic spectrum.
I think I have all the qualities to be a good friend I just don’t know how to communicate :joy:
I’m telling you this because my thing is yarn and crochet and I would like to try to make friends that have the same hobbies I have.

Hi Coralie! Im Amber :cherry_blossom:

I know sometimes life can be hard and you feel like you are lonley. But youre not alone. The crochet community is very welcoming & id love to be your friend! Ive been crocheting since September 22’ but really got into it Januart 23’. No matter who you are , your health concerns do not define who you are as a person! You are unique & you should be proud:heartbeat:Sometimes we all dont know how to keep a conversation going but when you find the right person to vibe with, everything will follow:hugs:

Welcome to Ribblr. I’m the same way. The thing to make friends is just being your true self. I make friends just by crocheting everywhere I go. You got this. Love what you do and show your uniqueness.

Hi Coralie!
I’m Ivy (preferably Trisha but all my ribblr friends call me Little)! I would love to be your friend!! It doesn’t matter whether you’re disabled or not; that doesn’t make you who you are. I know that sometimes life can get lonely but we’re here for you!
A little bit about me…
I’m a teen crocheter who’s been crocheting since 2020 when my mom got me my first crochet kit. I especially love crocheting amigurumi plushies. I’m starting to crochet other stuff like clothes.
Again, I’d love to be friends!!

Definitely feels weird going into the wdult world. I feel far more disconnected from everything now that im older than I did when i was younger. I think some of it deals with the fact that instead of hanging out with the same people everyday like i did in highschool, its a new set of people everyday.

Feel free to reach out though! My DMs are always open to anyone.

Never apologise for being you. Your disabilities help make you the person you are but they do not define you.
I’m older but always happy to have a chat.
Even if you just want to share what crochet your working on

I can completely relate to you! I will be turning 31 this month and I have a lot of trouble communicating with others. I suffer from c-ptsd/anxiety/depression so going in public is extremely hard for me. Even just going to the store and buying something is terrifying. :< I have found that pushing myself out of my comfort zone just a little bit each time has really helped me overcome a lot of fears. You also have to remember to be patient with yourself and not judge yourself. A lot of the times you judge yourself and think others will do the same, but it turns out there are a lot of people dealing with the same things as you and I! You are an amazing human being! Just be you and real friends will follow! :> Be kind to yourself, love yourself, and remember that you are enough. <3 If you ever want to chat or share what you’re working on you can message me or just post a topic on here! There are so many amazing and kind people on ribblr! Hope you ALL the best!

Thank you so much everyone  I know things can get better! If anyone is having a hard time don’t give up and if someone need to talk my dm’s are open. With all the likes I’ve gotten I’m guessing a lot of people are feeling the way I feel. Things do get better, so try your best to stay and be happy
