Me: Purchases a pattern on Etsy, makes all the squares needed to make it, and lays it all out to follow the pattern exactly.
Also Me: Immediately scraps it all, edits the square pattern to be diamonds, and is actively mentally editing the pattern I bought to work with the squares as diamonds instead, and having to find other shape patterns (triangles) to make everything work out.
NGL, it’s actually looking like it might come out nicely. Only time will tell, but definitely leave it to me, someone who has never written a pattern, to over-complicate something as simple as a granny square vest.
