Much needed (temporary) break

I know some of you have been watching for more of the Enchanted Orchard series, and my Halloween mosaics. I apologize for going radio silent.

I hit a wall of complete and utter frustration that was taking the joy out of crochet for me, for multiple reasons. When things start to make the craft you love most feel anything but joyful, it’s time to take a step back, so that’s what I’ve been doing.

I am trying to get the emotional and mental energy to release the patterns I have had in testing, so bear with me. Hopefully I can have them out next week (but I’ve also been under the weather this whole week so it depends on if I’m feeling better).

I also have a 16 year old cat with hyperthyroidism and diabetes that has been having a lot of health scares and vet visits lately and it’s truly exhausting and an emotional roller-coaster, not to mention a consistent money drain to the point of thinking of selling some of my stash off :sad_but_relieved_face:

At any rate, this isn’t an “I’m leaving” post, I just know people have been watching for certain patterns or tests and I wanted to explain why they haven’t shown up yet.

I think I’ve also decided not to run tests for anything other than amigurumi here going forward. Anything that is chart related (mosaic and tapestry) will just be getting released after I work them up, so for those you can just keep an eye out for pattern release posts.

Thank you for bearing with me. For the praying sorts out there, I’d welcome and be grateful for prayers for our little guy.

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through with your kitty!:orange_heart: Caring for an aging or ill pet is never easy. I will be praying for you and your furry friend as you navigate his health concerns.

Please take all the time you need to get the joy of creating back into your stitching. I hope some time away will help release that pressure that’s been building up and make it easier for you to pick up your hook again when you’re ready. :orange_heart:

Sending positive, uplifting energy!

When you are ready and able to get back to it, I am here to test! I am back to stay-at-home momming for a while so have some crochet time again!

Take care of yourself!
