My March 2026 Book Wrap-up!!!

Hewo everyone!!!
I just thought I would share my March 2026 book wrap up!
I would love it if you guys posted yours too, either in the comments or as an entirely new post, so feel free to tag me if you do!
Ok, so in this post I want to cover five things: TBR, progress on my TBR, what books I bought this month, what I read this month with ratings, and what I plan to read this month.
Let’s start with my TBR!
I have approximately 46 books on my TBR, one of which is a re-read (Heartless!).
I read 11 books off of my TBR last month, also reading another one for a book club!
I bought way too many books this month, adding 29 to my TBR, but to be fair, I did buy most of them at our local thrift shop where paperbacks are $1.00 USD and hardbacks are $1.50 USD.
Here are all the books I read this month with ratings!
Just to let you know, this is my rating system:
:star: : Extremely not enjoyable.
:star: :star: : Not enjoyable, but I pushed through.
:star: :star: :star: : Decent read.
:star: :star: :star: :star: : One of the top books I’ve read! Loved it!
:star: :star: :star: :star: :star: : Best book ever!!!
With that said, let’s let into the books!

  1. This Tender Land :star: :star: :star: :star:
I loved this book sm, it was so tenderhearted and made me cry when it shouldn’t have bc I cared so. flipping. much. for the characters! I want to recommend this to all of my friends!
  2. Catching Fire :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:
Even though this is a re-read, Catching Fire is easily one of the best books I’ve ever read. The characters are well written, the plot moves at a great pace, and I just love it sm!
  3. Mockingjay :star: :star: :star: :star:
I loved this book but it’s so freaking sad. Definitely an amazing end to the Hunger Games series, but I do wish that we knew more about how the government played out after the war (the rebellion).
  4. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (TBOSAS) :star: :star: :star: :star:
I love seeing Coriolanus’ villain arc sm and I love both characters until the end. I will say, I didn’t like the excessive alc0hol consumption for 12 year olds, it made me a tiny bit uncomfortable even tho understand it is a part of our world.
  5. Matched :star: :star: :star:
This is one of those dystopian series that you wish added up to The Hunger Games bc it has such great potential. I loved the world, but there’s a lot of things left unanswered.
  6. Crossed :star: :star: :star:
Rlly this whole series is a three star. This one is more of a two and a half, I didn’t like the switch from the first book being single POV from this book being multi-POV. Secondly, almost the whole book the pacing was slow. Was rlly frustrated with all of the characters, especially Ky and Cassia.
  7. Reached :star: :star: :star:
This was a nice enough ending to the series with lots of stuff revealed, but idk, the series wasn’t my favorite. I didn’t like the way the other lands were explained, I wanted ppl to go out and explore them and tell me about it, and I didn’t like the way the rebellion worked out. Bonus points for making me almost cry tho when something happened mid-book.
  8. Oliver Twist :star: :star: :star:
This is a 3 and 1/2 for so many reasons. This was a re-read bc I read this as a kid along with Black Beauty and loved it. The book didn’t disappoint, and there’s a new retelling called The Scent of Oranges, I think, that I rlly want to buy now.
  9. The Great Gatsby :star: :star:
Ik sooo many ppl like this classic, but I rlly didn’t know the plot or the point for half of the time. I felt kinda sad when a certain someone died, but I didn’t rlly care for the story much, it just felt like: drinking, affair, Gatsby, smoking, party… etc.
  10. Pictures of Hollis Woods :star: :star: :star: :star:
This book is up there with the better middle grade novels! I loved how they portrayed the real feelings of a child in the foster care system being tossed from home to home and it didn’t disappoint. I also loved the way Hollis’ backstory was revealed through photos she drew.
  11. The Tanglewoods’ Secret :star: :star: :star: :star:
My mom made me read this book for a book club and I went into it expecting something lame but came out of my room with puffy eyes and tears on my face. It was so sweet and I loved the lessons it was teaching children, especially a very important one about stealing, and I usually don’t like it when the mcs are so rebellious, but Ruth was so sweet the whole time through and always felt bad after what she did.
  12. White Dolphin :star: :star:
If I’m being honest with everyone, I made myself finish this book. Bonus points for including a character with a disability (Felix, who has CP) tho. I didn’t like Kara as a mc tho, but I did like the way the author wrapped up the story of her mom at the ending.
I hope to read nine books in the month of April, and I went past my goal last time, so hopefully I will this time too!
These are the books I want to read in April on my TBR!
    Unshaken (reading currently)
    The Lost City of Z
    Where Coyotes Howl
    When We Were Vikings
    Sea of Tranquility
    A Thousand Splendid Suns
    Heartless
    They Called Her Mrs. Doc
    Promise Me Tomorrow
Also, I hope to buy less than twenty books this month.
I now have 150 books contained on three shelves.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading this and I hope you guys have a wonderful reading month too!
Also, bookish question of the month…

So… I’m not a crazy reader but I’m gonna write my Book Wrap Up anyway!!

I think I only finished one book this month… Once Upon A Broken Heart, I only read it because everyone said it was really good but honestly it was a 3/5 for me. I just think romance doesn’t really… click with me.

It was either last month or this month that I read The Housemaid but that was really good! 4/5

I am currently reading the Poppy War, and this might be my favorite book of all time. Right now, I’m about 3/4 through the book, and I would rate it a 4/5… it would be a 5/5, but I didn’t read the trigger warnings and I’m traumatized :(. It is a great book though, although it is very gory…

I don’t buy books, I just get them from the library or Libby, a library app, and transfer them to my Kindle.

I also don’t have a TBR really, I just read the books I find interesting

Also that’s crazy that you read 12 books in a month. I could never.

I love it!
I haven’t read Once Upon a Broken heart just bc the synopsis sounds stupid to me for some reason.
I’ve been thinking about reading The Housemaid tho, is there any spice or cussing?
I used to do the same thing with my TBR, but now that I’m buying books…
Lol tysm!

Yesssss I luv it sm altho it is sad at the end.

I’ve actually never read a comedy!
I’ll definitely have to check that out!

So I can’t put my TBR because it has like 154 books  ,but last month I read 16 books:

City spies(book 1-3(reread):star::star::star::star::star:

Dreamkeeper book 1 :star::star::star::star:

The false prince trilogy :star::star::star:

The whole keeper of the lost cities series :star::star::star::star::star::star:(yes, I meant to put six stars)

The keepers books are definitely my all time favorite. To you readers out there who like fantasy, adventure, and fast paced books, this is a must read.

I’ve been working on the same book all month :skull: it’s Just Friends, Haley Pham’s debut novel and it came out early March. It was a bit out of my comfort zone (it was a ya romance…) but I’m about to finish it and I love it! So far I’d give it :star::star::star::star:, which is huge since it’s completely different from what I usually read but I grabbed some more ya romances because I’ve liked it so much. Some of my favorite genres would have to be horror, thrillers, psychological thrillers, and mysteries. One book I highly recommend to anyone with similar interests is Disclaimer by ReneĆ© Knight. It’s weird at first but if you push through to the end you’ll love it.

Yes, I love classics too!

Wow, that’s great!
Lol I have too many books on my TBR too.

I love Hayley Pham’s YT channel and I’ve been wanting to read the book!
Is it completely/ almost completely clean YA?
Lol I love psychological thrillers too and some of my friends are creeped out by that I think.

I’m about 80 pages from the end and so far there’s been 0 spice and 0 (as far as I can remember no promises) profanity. Great book too!

I only just started reading the False Prince. I just started book three! I love the series! The Door Within is a little darker violence wise… But the story is very good.
