I was gifted this yarn, it came with no label and already balled. They got it in a bundle of other things they picked up.
I have no idea what it is, what this style is called or what this color might be, anyone know any trick for identifying yarn?

It was very popular about 10-15 years ago,they hardly sell boucle yarn anymore

I still buy the lion brand homespun for rectangular comfort shawls, nice and soft and fluffy and warm ;). takes 4 skeins tho.

Yeah the amount of skeins in one project is one of the things that steers me away from shawls and such. So Iām turning it into a spider
