Hello! I am looking for anyone who knows NALBINDING or would like to learn. It is a scandinavian folk art popular among Viking reenactors.
I have created a bunch of introductory videos on Tiktok and I’m trying to create a learning community.
Do you have an image of the skill? There seems to be a lot of variety when I searched so it would be lovely to see what you have been up to.
I love the texture!
That looks amazing (and so warm). What type of tools do you use? Is it more like knitting or crochet?
All you need is a dull needle with a big eye, and a yarn you can add lengths to. I like to use single ply wool/merino because it is easy to fuse. The brand I get the most of is from Browns Sheep Co., Lambs pride in worsted weight.
That looks very interesting! I’d love to learn how to do it!
I love the texture of Nalbinding - have seen a cpl of YouTube videos and it’s mesmerising!
Isn’t this called the herring bone stitch
Yes. How can I join your learning nail binding group? What tools do we need
I would love to learn! I’m always keen to learn new crafts and crafting skills.
Wow this is awesome! I’d follow the tiktok!
This is gorgeous! I’d love to learn!!
