I got this amigurumi kit and the pattern it came with are confusing to me…. I’m usually fine with reading patterns but this does not make sense. If anyone can help me understand this a little better it would be much appreciated!!!

is the issue with making the oval shape? if so, here’s a little video tutorial i found! if not, what part of the pattern is confusing? hopefully we can figure it out!

i honestly just think it’s the way it’s written because i’ve followed tutorials to make ovals but i’ll also watch this and see if it helps!

that’s fair! when reading that, i realized that i wouldn’t really do it the way they said (in terms of how they shape and increase it), so i think i’d personally just make the oval the way that i already know how and making sure the stitch count matches up (or is at least similar enough that the shape would not be too strange).

Yes thank you!! I just tried after watching that video and using the diagram someone made and it worked! I think the problem was also how small the yarn and hook is because it’s so hard to see the stitches!

they could of written it as working around the chain instead of working in a oval shape.
I use this method a lot in my designing for mouths.
