Hi so I offered someone on Facebook some yarn for free , and instead of being grateful she refused to take any of the yarn I offered her, and instead said she was looking for a specific yarn. I told she should have told me that first , and then blocked her. Do I have a right to be mad ?

Note this is not about Ribblr or asking for addresses on Ribblr, so please do not report me

Well, if they didn’t want to give their address, I get that!

They were willing to give me their address but only for the right / specific yarn they were looking for

I mean, people are allowed to have yarn preferences. Some people hate acrylic, others hate wool (like me, can’t use the stuff). I am on a buy nothing group where people ask for things all the time and if it’s not what you’re looking for, you just say thanks for the offer but no, and move on. Not sure why you’re so upset about it? Honestly I’d be more upset if they took it anyways and threw it away. At least now you can gift it to someone else or use it yourself

If she didn’t say that she was only looking for very specific yarn at first and just said something like “Hey! I’m looking for yarn if anyone has extra”, then I would be annoyed for a bit but then move on.

Trying to sell/gift things on facebook has become a nightmare.

I would be. You offered to give her the yarn for free! She was selfish to request a specific yarn i think. Yarn is expensive and i never turn down the offer of free yarn. I can always find a project for it.
