Need Safety Eye Ideas

Currently, I’m crocheting Flare the Phoenix (@SweetOddityArt ), but I don’t have colored eyes that are big enough, but the black eyes look creepy. Any suggestions?

I don’t have a picture of a set I did…

I took a set of black and covered with clear uv resin to fill in any micro imperfections then I used nail polish in layers..I would use a tooth picks to create the eye ball lines for the iris..working one layer at a time, streak it, let it dry, repeat with the next layer

I keep layering til happy or if it doesn’t work right, just us nail polish remover and start over….

With a little trial and error, you can make some really nice eyes..I would cover the finished eye with clear uv resin to keep it nice.

I hope this helps..

You can also get the colored eyes off of temu for relatively cheap but nice..

Thank you so much! This helps a lot!

You could crochet eyes using a thin yarn and either sew or glue them on.

Alternatively you could embroider the eyes.

maybe embroider eyes?
