New here, hello all

Hello,

New here, crochet for fun and to give my hands something to do.

Currently working on a blanket for my daughter due on Valentine’s Day. Photo attached.

I have made her a bear wubby, bunny wubby, snake, and trying to make a chunky octopus but keep loosing place and off stitch counts so that’s on hold lol.

Hey! Welcome to Ribblr! Just a word of warning: 90% of Ribblr is just weirdo teens, but we’re all super nice, lol! That blanket looks REALLY pretty.

Not quite true. Grandma here, my daughters are here also. Lots of mamas. Most of the community posts may be from the youth section though. But, you can help change that. Welcome to Ribblr. :tada: I think my favorite part is being able to mark off where you are in the pattern.

Thank you. I honestly don’t know the name of the stitch I seen it on TikTok I did it wrong at first but now I rotate between the right and “wrong” way and get a nice texture going.

Hello, I’m not sure on the name of the stitch I seen it on TikTok and thought it was cool and easy to do. I actually did it wrong the first few rows then switched to the right way. Honestly I’m just going back and fourth on right and wrong stitch to get the pattern lol.

The yarn I’m using is from Amazon.
It’s Bernat Yarn: unicorn bright

For many of you asking, I looked back in my TikTok and found the video.

User name: Yarn Craft Haven looks like video was posed on 12-30-2024.

According to the comments it is called the Herringbone stitch? Hope that helps.
