I couldn’t help myself, I seen a cool stitch and had to try it out.
Yarn used: Bernat Baby Sport,
and what I have so far. I swear it’s so hard to finish one project.

whoah! that stitch is so cool!
I looked in the comments on the video I seen the stitch on and found no solid answer. Some say moss stitch, or simple weave stitch.
However someone did post this if this helps anyone,
Here, they have a 4-row repeating pattern.
Foundation ch
Setup row: SC every stitch. Ch1 and turn.
Row A: Sc, [ch1, sk 1, HDC into ch of foundation row not the sc of the setup row], sc. Ch1 and turn.
Row B: Sc in next st and ch-sp. [Scfp except go through the vertical bars rather than the entire st. SC in ch-sp]. SC. Ch1 and turn.
Row C: Sc. [HDC in ch-sp 2 rows below, ch1, sk1]. HDC in ch-sp 2 rows below. SC. Ch1 and turn.
Row D: Sc. [Scfp between vertical bars of HDC, SC in ch-sp]. SC. Ch1 and turn.
