Something that helped me is to make my notes pretty and aesthetic, so note taking becomes fun. Add sparkles, flowers, and put random things in cute boxes. Pinterest is a great resource

Try writing everything in your own words. If you are taking notes on a slideshow and you write it word for word, it may not make sense to you later.
Taking notes while someone is talking is a lot harder, if you can write down all the main points. At the end, ask questions to the teacher, instructor, profess, etc. and elaborate more on your notes.
Try not too get flustered, you can always come back to your notes and rewrite them in your best learning style.
A good presentation to look at may be the AVID note taking slideshow. It is called focused note taking. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!

OMG! In my AP history class, all WE ever do is take notes and do quizzes! I already have like 15 full pages of notes lol. I have a test on Thursday and I haven’t retained any information on the content lol. I would suggest making headers and then write smaller underneath so it is easy to find each section.
