I am so incredibly excited to share that The Sandy Shores Sun Hat is officially off the hook and locked into the Ribbuild platform! :partying_face:

I wanted to design a summer bucket hat that feels premium and structured rather than floppy, so I paired clean single crochet stitch definition with a few airy, breathable eyelet rows. It’s finished with a contrasting faux-ribbon accent band and a crisp scalloped brim that completely holds its shape.

I am wrapping up the coordinating ripple-stitch beach bag next. I just decided to work the very first row of the bag body in the BLO instead of regular single crochet, and let me tell you—that tiny tweak creates the perfect crisp, 90° structural ridge to frame the base! :triangular_ruler:

Also my favorite little stich hack is using
Back Loop Half Double Crochet to make my crochet stretchier! And on top of that I think back loop half double crochet makes it a little less see through if you have tight stitches :face_with_hand_over_mouth::sparkling_heart:
