Hey everyone! How well does Ribblr translate patterns on here? I ran into an issue before with a pattern tester where my original pattern was in US terms and they were using UK terms. At one point in the pattern it didn’t translate the stitch terminology correctly and it caused some confusion.
I was hoping to use Ribblr’s feature of being able to translate into multiple languages for a pattern but I’m hesitant with how reliable it is. Does anyone know how accurate the translation is? Thanks!!
I’ve heard some good things but never tried it out myself.
Wait do you mean different languages or UK vs US terms?
Could the translation error possibly have been it randomly switching back to US terms for them? As far as I know, the translation is pretty solid, but I have had the issue of it switching back to UK terms without me noticing when I’m translating a pattern (I use US terms)
I mean for both instances! My only experience is with translating terms but it would also be nice to know if patterns can translate languages ok as well!
I think @Evanlyn has done this before since she speaks another language, i’m not much help here. Sorry if you didn’t want to be tagged!
I have no idea where y’all are talking about can someone explain
My brain isn’t braining
It can change to every language that are available on ribblr but there are 3 I think rn they are about to make more but it takes some time to make that
Ribblr currently support English (UK, US) and Spanish (Spain, Latin America). If a stitch doesn’t translate well, please make sure you use the correct US abbreviation.
Are you going to make more languages available?
We plan to add more languages in the future.
Yay
