Please help

This is what my garder (may be spelling that incorrectly) and stockinette stitches look like knitting the same way as the last photo. So do i need to do it differently for a rib? Or do these look off as well?

From what I can see in that photo alone… 3, maybe 4 twisted stitches in the garter rows, no twists in the stockinette.
I think you are doing what I do in that you wrap on a different direction sometimes so that the next row changes how your stitches sit.
In that photo, your stitches would be front loop knitting, but you may wrap different in rib.
But I need to stress, learning to work the stitch different is easier than trying to train to wrap different
