Start my saving patterns, applying for tests, watch YouTube tutorials, and observe the patterns. Pay close attention to how the patterns are written, how things are explained.
Try creating your own patterns too! You can create a shop here on Ribblr. Here you can write your own patterns and test them, meaning posting tester calls and approve the testers that applied, but I recommend you first test patterns yourself, and then post tester calls of your own, just to see how everything works, and your tests would be more successful (that’s what I did, and I’m glad I did). When others test your patterns, they can give you advise or make notes on some errors, like stitch count for example.

That’s perfectly fine! That was total me in the beginning of my crocheting journey 
try looking at YouTube channels like lilthings and ETM’s Studio, they have the patterns on their tutorials, but also explain what each step means, and that helped me a lot. in fact, the first tutorial i’ve ever used to crochet anything was from lilthings

My first tutorial that i used for crochet was also from lilthings!
It’s (i think) the best crochet channel for beginners in crochet and if you are learning how to make/read patterns
