Plushies with red fabric

Ok, this is going to sound kind of weird, but Im hoping someone can help me out here.

My local Joanns is closing, sadly. Since I needed to go there anyway for supplies, I decided to pick up some fleece remnants while I was there. (The other local stores have lousy fabric selections, so I’m not sure what I’m going to do in the future, but that’s beyond the point. )

One of the remnants I chose is a bright red, 0.8 of a yard. The only issue is, I have no clue what to make with it! The only free sewing patterns I know of are by Cholyknight, and she doesn’t really have any that would work with that shade…

Any ideas?

Have you thought of trying to make your own pattern? I could definitely help as I’m designing a pattern right now^^

No, because I am genuinely brand new to sewing plushies. I don’t think I’ll be capable of that for a long, long time, lol!

Honestly I think it would be great to practice with a cholyknight pattern. They have a axolotl pattern and it would be very cute to make a red one^^

Here’s a crab that I think would look good:

It seems pretty beginner friendly, but I’m not that into sewing so I don’t really know

Maybe a red T-Rex?

All of these are free Cholyknight patterns and there is a range of difficulties. The manta ray I can make in 45 min but all the others, just take it slow and align your peices carefully. Hope this helps!
