[Postponed] Tester call for Crochet: Midnight Spinner

:spider: I need 2-4 testers for my Midnight Spinner Overlay Mosaic Crochet Pattern
:tear_off_calendar: Due Date: August 27th, 2026

If you would like to be sure you never miss a tester call from me, you can be part of my Discord Server where all tester calls are posted!

Additional Requirements:

  1. Have done overlay mosaic crochet before. Please post a picture of a piece you’ve done in this technique.

  2. Tell me what colors you would like to use and what hook size. This takes approximately 366yds per color (doing the reversible technique. Will use less if doing it one-sided).

  3. Be able to finish in the test window provided, don’t ghost the test, participate in the tester group to post potential errors, areas that may need clarification in the pattern, etc.

  4. Post a journal when you’re done with a well-lit photo (please keep pattern suggestions to the tester group and not the journal). Pattern will be gifted after the journal is complete.

  5. You can make this a pillow or tote for the test as opposed to a wall-hanging if you are certain you can finish in the time provided.

  6. Click the photo to apply after commenting below with answers to the previous questions.

    FAQ:

  • This measures 19"x23" using a 4-weight yarn (Caron Simply Me Luster) with a 5mm hook. It took slightly over one skein of yarn per color (but I worked it as a reversible piece).
  • The pattern can be made repeatable for future makes (not the test please).
  • There is a free guide to overlay mosaic crochet in my shop if you want to learn how to do this. This is NOT tapestry crochet. It is worked one side only, one row only, no turning, no color changing.

Thank you! There are about 5 more I’ve made charts for that I’ll be putting up for testing… they just take me time to make as well so that I can list them, so don’t fret

Thank you! Not turning or changing color is part of the magic of overlay mosaic crochet  It’s part of why I love it so much!

Am pretty sure i could finish this in time and would make it in black and red and maybe make it a wall hanging! Especially for my bestie that has a tarantula:spider::face_with_hand_over_mouth::black_heart:

Do you have any overlay mosaic pieces you’ve done that you can put a picture up of? I want to be sure that for my tests, testers understand the method and how it works.

If you’ve never done an overlay mosaic piece, I have a guide in my shop that’s free that has a small pattern (takes maybe 15 minutes or so to do), and finishing that will count as a picture for the sake of testing approval :+1:

I completed your lucky salbert in orange and black. I would like to use black and purple for this one if possible.

Salbert is tapestry crochet. I can’t remember, have you tested any of my overlay mosaic pieces? :)

Very nice work! Good luck :four_leaf_clover:
