Premier Parfait Yarn?

So I’ve seen a lot of patterns and crocheters suggesting Premier Parfait yarn but I’ve seen really mixed reviews. I usually use Bernat blanket yarn or Bernat baby yarn and I don’t know if I should switch. Does anyone have any advice?

I’d say the only way to know for sure what your thoughts on it are to try it out and see, but if you’re not interested you certainly can keep using what you already know you like instead. Whatever anyone lists on a pattern is really just a suggestion, a -this is what I used to make it, if you use something different your results may change- sort of thing.

I use premiers parfait or basix yarn pretty often for my custom orders. No issues with it snapping, i think there are some factory knots but nothing too bad. I like it pretty well! I think a big part is the price point. If you buy straight from premiers website its not too expensive, and they have sales pretty often.

I agree that its one of those things you wont know for sure until you try it!

I’m not the biggest fan of parfait chunky, the texture isn’t my favorite. I far prefer Bernat blanket!

Bernat Blanket, I avoid but it hurts my hands! Ya king that yarn through every single sc!

I like parfait chunky yarn more. It’s usually softer and it’s slightly thinner so I feel like it’s easier to work with. Plus (at least where I bought yarn) there are not very many color options in Bernat blanket, but parfait has tons of colors online. Idk though, it seems like everyone has different opinions on it. You should try some out though and see how you like it.

Personally I love it and find it easier to work with than blanket yarn, but it does shed more and break a bit easier. I am going to continue using both for different purposes
