Well, I had a brilliant idea and it paid off.
I went to Dollar Tree during an off peak time to ask the manager if he had any chenille yarn " in the back".
I had to show him the yarn I was looking for. He came out with 4 boxes!!! So I took the box of hot pink, brown, and lime green, and just a couple skeins of the black.
At $1.24 a 65 yard skein comes out to 19 cents a yard. So perfect size for small projects. Also, product is made in Turkey.

Good find, I just don’t love the dollar tree yarn as it sheds a lot. But once you figure out the technique, it’s nice. Unfortunately my dollar tre never has yarn and the employees are rude

I went about 1:00 or so but Inimagine 9:00-10:00 would be good too.
It does shed, nothing is as good as Bernat Velvet in my opinion. BUT, if you want other colors and don’t want to pay 78-120 cents a yard, then this is an option.
