Preppy Diamond Jumper- Should I frog?

I am currently making the back panel for the Preppy Diamond Jumper but when I am crocheting the panel is not turning out straight. The ribbing is made with a 4.5 crochet hook and 5 crochet hook for the color work . When the panel is slightly stretched it ends up straight but I am worried it won’t stay that way when it is sewn together. What should I do? Should I try a smaller hook?

Thanks,
Kylie

Hi @kylienielsen !
Before resorting to frogging, I would first check that the gauge of the bodice matches the instructions, and then if necessary, and if you want you could frog and adjust hook size.
Regarding the un-evenness - the ribbing should be slightly narrower than the bodice, but I can’t tell without measuring if it’s too wide, so I think your safest bet is to check the gauge before deciding what to do!

Hope that helps!

count your stitches to make sure you are not accidentally increasing on the ends, I use to have that problem occasionally.
