Presents i made !!!!

Hi guys !!!

I just wanted to show some things i made for a couple birthdays as i feel really proud of them !!!

Ok so first of i made a Mandela cushion for my mums 45th birthday!!!
Heres a photo:

Im so so proud of this as ive never made anything like it before !! I have literally just finished it as it was a kind of hectic make. Believe it or not the Mandela part was easiest, it was so fun i used a video tutorial and im definitely going to make more !!! Now what was so hectic you ask well…

I didnt know how on earth to weave in the ends so i ended up just tieing knots :no_mouth:

For the back peice i wasnt following a pattern i just decided to do a solid granny square, the colour pattern was ment to be brown, orange, light green, blue, dark green, purple but i got distracted and ended up doing brown, orange, light green, blue, purple, dark green :no_mouth:

For some reson the back kept curling

Then came the great cushion hunt…

So it was Sunday of last week i had finished making both pannels and they mesured to 25cm. We went to hobby craft to get a cushion pad they only had 40cm. No worrys her birthday isnt till the 25. We ordered a pack of 4 on amazon

Wednesday…

They arrived!!! I try sewing it together . The cushion pad is to small. I Google why turns out your ment to go 2 inches bigger then the outer cushion. I look up 30cm cushion pads and dunelm has some

My dad gets home from work, we go to dunelm they dont have any. You have to order them online and they won’t get there for a week.

We look in amazon they all say 25th we order anyway

Friday…

There here and i can finally finish it !!!

Thankfully my second present was much simpler!!!

So my grandma’s dog meg shares a birthday with my mum so i decided to make her a bandanna!!

Heres a photo:

I followed a tutorial for the straw berry square and i learnt a new trick!!!
So you know how when you make a solid granny square you still get those gaps , you can get rid of them !!! Basically when you get to the corners in the corner stich to 2 dc, one tc, 2 dc and you dont get the gaps !!! On the first round just do your 3 dc and insted of chaining two do a treble crochet

Thank you so much to @TheEnchantedCrafter for the tip on how to sew it on !!! I think it worked really well!!

Anyway i have to go wrap these up now, sorry for how long this ended up thank you for reading!
