I have had this idea for a while now and I was wondering if I should get your opinions on it.
My idea is I want to make scarves and beanies for people in need at shelters because in Australia, winter is really cold in some areas and I don’t want people going cold this winter. I was just wondering if you guys thinks it’s a good idea and if so, what yarn would make good scarves and beanies in Australia.

Thats an amazing idea! If u mean ur in Australia (like me!) i always find great wool in spotlight which is all over australia. They have chunkie yarn too and lots of acylics, theres like 5 aisles full of wool! I am obsessed with that shop! Hope this helps!

that would be amazing!! i agree with what other people are saying, i think wool would be a good choice for some soft hats and scarves.
Ur so sweet. I would recommend wool blends, they keep u super warm or even blanket yarn I feel would make nice chunky beanies. If u are budgeting tho the red heart super saver yarn would work rlly good too, I’ve found it to be pretty warm, a tad uncomfortable but it would work good for the beanies. For scarves I would recommend to stick to wool blends or use the white red heart yarn(idk why that one seems to be so softer compared to the other ones). OR u could go for a thinner version of bernat, I think those would also make some nice scarves . For some extra detailing if ur interested u embroider smt so it feels personal to them
